"Fifteen men on a Dead-man’s chest!"
That was the song that the old seaman sang as he came in the door of the Admiral Benbow Inn. Based on the classic story told by Robert Louise Stevenson, audiences are invited to join Jim Hawkins as he goes from running his father’s inn to sailing the seas in search of Treasure Island. Led by a map, Jim, with the help of his friends, gathers a crew and sets sail. Dreams of adventure and gold linger in Jim’s mind, but he never dreams of anything as terrible as what really happens. Cared for and watched over by the ship’s lovable cook, Long John Silver, Jim begins to believe that nothing could go wrong. But when they sight the island marked on the map, Jim discovers that the crew is made up of pirates, and Long John Silver is the worst of them all. A mutiny, a captured ship, a crazy woman, and murderous pirates plague Jim as he tries to save the life of his shipmates and himself from the schemes of Long John Silver. Watch as plots twist and unfold as Jim and Long John Silver match wits to win Flint’s treasure. Laughs, adventure, thrills, and deception lie in wait for people of all ages. This adaptation of the timeless tale is sure to entertain audiences and keep them on the edge of their seats until the closing of the curtain, as they join Jim Hawkins in foiling mutinous plots, fighting pirates, and solving the mystery of Treasure Island.
