Creative Classics Scripts is devoted to creating and publishing scripts that are family friendly, high quality, and fun for all involved.

Michael and Rebecca Gilleland are owners of Progeny Press, a company that produces study guides for literature. During their years of attending conferences and working in Customer Service, they have had many requests from customers for plays that were were of high quality, preferably based on classic literature, and suitable for medium and small casts. Often the Gillelands would refer the questioners to established script publishers, yet many people came back dissatisfied. Many plays, surprisingly, had inappropriate language or elements that bothered both their students and/or audiences, and they had a hard time finding plays with smaller casts and simple sets that were suited to their budget and cast size.

Michael and Rebecca finally decided, with their son, Nathan, to develop Creative Classics Scripts– a sister company of Progeny Press that provides plays that specifically meet the needs and requirements of their customers. Rebecca and Nathan teamed together and adapted Jules Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days as our very first play, the first of many plays based upon great literary classics.
